Located in the south of Puerto Rico, La Soplaera is a crown jewel of my beautiful hometown Peñuelas. It's mystical beauty draws tourists from all over the island. Hidden in its beauty is the dangers of potential flash floods. This day provided ideal conditions. The next day? A big storm rolled in to the mountains up north, causing a massive flash flood that took the life of a couple of people. A grim reminder that "God is the land".
